Who we are
Steplane is run by MB Karališkės, company code 303126854, Savanorių pr. 6-116, 03116 Vilnius, Lithuania. Contact: hello@getsteplane.com.
What we collect
- Your answers to the check stay in your browser. We do not receive them.
- Anonymous results: when you finish the check, we receive the number of leaks found, the estimates, jobs per month, the currency and a random session code. No name, company name or IP address is stored with them.
- Your email, only if you enter it, together with the product you asked about and the anonymous result above.
- Orders: your email, company name (if given), country, order reference, amount, payment method type and payment status. Payments are handled by Montonio Finance UAB (company code 305205122, Lithuania). We never see your card or bank login details.
- Site assistant chat: the messages you type into the chat on the site, stored with a random session code. If you ask for a person, also your email and question.
- Abuse protection: to stop misuse of the chat and checkout, we count requests using a scrambled code made from your IP address that changes every day. It is deleted after a day and cannot be turned back into your IP address.
Why and on what basis
- To send you the payment link and information about the product you asked for. Basis: your consent, given when you enter your email.
- To improve the check using anonymous results. Basis: our legitimate interest.
- To process your order, deliver the kit, issue invoices and handle refunds. Basis: our contract with you and our legal accounting duties.
- To answer your questions in the chat and improve those answers. Basis: our legitimate interest in helping visitors.
Site assistant
The chat on the site is an automated assistant (an AI system), not a person. To generate replies, your messages are sent to our assistant provider, Anthropic. If the assistant cannot answer, or you ask for a person, your email and question are emailed to our team, who reply within one working day. Please do not type sensitive personal information into the chat.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept until you ask us to delete them, and no longer than 24 months. Chat messages are kept for up to 24 months. Order and invoice records are kept for 10 years, as Lithuanian accounting and tax rules require. Anonymous results may be kept longer because they do not identify you.
Who processes it
The site and our email are hosted by Hostinger. Payments are handled by Montonio Finance UAB, which acts as its own controller for payment data under its own privacy policy. Chat replies are generated by Anthropic, which processes chat messages on our behalf. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing hello@getsteplane.com. You can also complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).
Browser storage
The site saves your answers, chosen currency and light or dark setting in your browser so they are there when you come back. This is not used for tracking.
