In short: Steplane is built by Paul, a logistics process specialist with over 13 years in logistics, including at some of the biggest freight forwarders in the world. Steplane gives small and medium freight companies the same process discipline: clear steps, owners and records, without a software project.
I have spent over 13 years in logistics, most of it inside large freight forwarding organisations, in air and sea freight and later in process design and business change, where my job was to map how work really flows, find where it breaks and get teams to work the same way across countries.
The same problems show up in companies of every size: quotes without exclusions, waiting time that never reaches the invoice, carriers booked without checks, claims that miss the deadline. Large companies have process teams for this. Small and medium ones usually do not. Steplane is what I would hand them.
Steplane sells a free online check and six process kits of editable Word and Excel templates, plus a remote service for companies with several branches or after a merger. It is not software, a subscription or legal advice. For ISO 9001, AEO and customer audits the kits give you a documented starting structure; you still follow it and keep the records, and the certification body or customs authority makes the final assessment.
