Process review for freight forwarding and transport companies

Updated 19 October 2026 · Written by Paul, founder of Steplane, a logistics process specialist with over 13 years in logistics, including at some of the biggest freight forwarders in the world.

In short: Send us the process you already have, as a document, spreadsheet, diagram or even a whiteboard photo. We review how the work really flows: who owns each step, what starts it, which record proves it, where money leaks and what an auditor would question. You get a written review with prioritised fixes within 5 working days.

Fixed price by size: €149 for one process, €349 for up to three connected processes, from €690 for larger or multi-branch reviews. We confirm the price by email before you pay. Done remotely, no calls needed.

Key facts

What you get

The review is our professional opinion on how the process is organised. It is not legal, tax or customs advice and not a certification audit.

What to send

Anything that shows how the work is done today. Each file can be up to 10 MB, and you can send up to 5 files:

No documents at all? Describe the process in a few lines and we will tell you whether a review makes sense, or whether the free check or a process kit is the better start.

Your files stay confidential

We use your files only for your review. They are stored on our server, not public, and seen only by us. We delete them 90 days after delivery, or earlier if you ask. We sign a confidentiality agreement on request. Please remove customer names or prices you do not want to share; the review works without them.

Questions

How much does a process review cost?

€149 for one process of up to about 15 steps, €349 for up to three connected processes or about 40 steps, and from €690 for larger or multi-branch reviews. We confirm the fixed price by email before you pay.

How long does the review take?

You get the written review by email within 5 working days after payment, unless we agree another date.

Do I need a call or a meeting?

No. Everything is done by email and shared documents. If something is unclear we ask by email.

What if my process is not written down?

Describe it in a few lines, or send photos of notes or a whiteboard. If there is too little to review, we tell you before you pay and suggest the free check or a kit instead.

Is this an ISO 9001 or AEO audit?

No. It is a practical review of how your process is organised, with what an auditor is likely to ask. The certification body or customs authority makes the final assessment.

What happens to my files?

They are used only for your review, stored privately and deleted 90 days after delivery, or earlier if you ask.

Can I cancel?

Yes, before we start, with a full refund. If we cannot do the review with what you sent, we refund the full price.
